Eliza has over a decade of Dispute Resolution experience involving China-related international arbitrations against SOEs, high value and complex energy and construction arbitrations, as well as multi-jurisdictional and multi-party arbitrations under the HKIAC, ICC, SIAC, LCIA rules. She also managed hundreds of arbitration cases at the ICC International Court of Arbitration.

Eliza’s multilingual capabilities in Spanish (having grown up in Panama), Mandarin, and Cantonese, and working knowledge of French, help facilitate building Lawdify to support multiple languages. Eliza left practice in late 2023 to start Lawdify upon seeing the potential of AI to transform the legal industry. Inspired by the versatility of spreadsheets from her accounting days, she set out to create the “spreadsheet for textual data” to help colleagues expedite document review and analysis. Max is a seasoned AI and machine learning specialist with a strong focus on large language models, computer vision, and cybersecurity. As a trained engineer and hands-on builder, he excels at applying AI techniques to real-world applications. His expertise spans full-stack engineering and leadership in deep-tech projects, particularly in applied AI for surveillance and robotics navigation.

Before co-founding Lawdify, Max led developed an AI assistant to centralize communications across platforms like WhatsApp, Slack, and Zoom, serving as a “second brain” by being available across multiple apps. He built a facial recognition system for CWT Aerospace, enhancing security across multiple commercial buildings in Singapore by integrating with HR applications and door access control systems. Additionally, he lead surveillance solutions for the Minister of Home Affairs in Singapore, including real-time drone fleet monitoring and robotics systems. Max also co-founded a blockchain analytics company that identified real-time events on-chain that can be used by marketers to do performance marketing.

At Lawdify, Max’s full-stack engineering skills and AI expertise are essential to the company’s technical innovation. He plays a crucial role in building and scaling Lawdify’s technical infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of AI solutions into legal workflows.
